Flounder Gull

Herring Gull with a flounder, Dunbar harbour. After school we went to the Kittiwake Workshop at the John Muir Birthplace museum. The children were taken down to see where the kittiwakes will be, in a few weeks. None today although they all tried to spot a kittiwake, I really don't think they've arrived yet. Fun anyway.

There was no space for Katie, and she's not 5 yet anyway, so whilst the 3 boys went back to the museum to make paper plate kittiwakes, Katie and I walked around the harbour taking pictures and chatting about the birds, the seal and the fishermen packing their prawns.

Then up to Sweet Occasions for a 30p bag of sweeties. The boys had to get their own bags of course so we were all fortified for the cycle home.

Today's music was Tom Waits and here's some great advice for life into the bargain : Cold Cold Ground.
