Tree sparrows in the rain
Tree sparrows are rare enough for Peartree to be proud of its little flock which is particularly successful this year. They used to be mainly over in the field where they fed on the corn given to the hens, but now love the garden feeders - this year outnumbering any other of the many visitors.
Today started cold and bright but deteriorated into cold and very wet - with sleet and snow briefly returning.
