Deer Cafe'

I was coming down Lombard Street and saw three of them from over a block away, so I shut off the engine and rolled down the window as I coasted down the hill to them.

They looked up, but then continued with their dinner while I looked on. I was so close that I couldn't get them all into the photo, hence the badly spliced example above.

At one point I coasted down a bit further, to be less than ten feet from the closest one, but the light was getting dim and the eye reflections ruined the shots.

I was so in awe, sitting in a closely-placed residential area so close to these gentle-appearing creatures, that I waited almost long enough to be late for my next appointment.

Thank you God, for showing me joy and awe in this world.
