Project commenced

This is how our kitchen looked this morning. The reason I'm posting this is that it was taken just before I started ripping it all out. This is the 'before' shot. In a few weeks, hopefully sooner rather than later, I'll be posting up the 'after' shot for comparison. As things stand tonight the entire right hand side is now long gone. Just the cooker left. All the horrible old lino has gone. There is now a mountain of kitchen cupboard contents on our dining table and a big pile of old kitchen units in the garden. It's quite exciting!

I'm pretty knackered with today's efforts so have downed tools for the day. Tomorrow I'll be starting on removing the left hand side (leaving sink unit and washing machine in place until new kitchen arrives in two weeks time) and working out how to lift the floor boards as I have a radiator pipe to move.

Becci handed out 48 copies of David Mitchell's 'Cloud Atlas' to grateful people for world book night.

Cluny has been back to the vets as he had a blocked bladder again. After wee'ing all over the vet, he seems happier now. He's going back again tomorrow for an x-ray.
