Prayer Scarf number 20
Here is prayer scarf number twenty which was also worked mainly on Castle Ward, Warwick Hospital, although I did the finishing and beading back in York.
Crocheting whilst spending such long hours on a ward full of very poorly women is therapeutic for me and my mother watches the movements of the crochet hook and wool with great interest even when she has no energy for anything else.
The wool is Gedifra Belisana a lovely soft Italian kid mohair blend and the beads are Japanese Myuki Magatamas, which look like little teardrops, in earthtone shades.
But who is this scarf for? My mother knows and approves. It will be a birthday or Christmas present full of special wishes for a very special friend - a long wait in either case.
Don't be fooled by the number twenty. It may have been the twentieth scarf I made, but the recipient is in my own personal top ten!
