When all else fails

Look to the stars.

They are pretty and twinkle - like the heavens looking down on you and giving you a friendly wink, as if to say it's all OK. They remind me that the world is so much bigger than all of this.

Today I found myself angrily shouting at Charlie Sheen whilst I was listening to an interview with him on Radio 4 (it was an ABC interview with him from last night). PROUD of the fact that he consumes ridiculous amounts of drugs, full of bravado that he must be special because other people would die if they consumed the amount of drugs he does. I found him to be almost as pompous, delusional and deranged as Colonel Gaddafi.

Charlie Sheen was the second person who I shouted at who couldn't hear me. Gaddafi was the first. In fact, in a subsequent interview with John Major, I found myself (for the first time) agreeing with his statement that Gaddafi was sounding "frankly, deranged".

I shouted at one person today who did hear me. So did a number of innocent bystanders - but it made a point.

I have wanted to protect people who are feeling bad, but find that there is nothing that I can do but offer supportive words.

I also found myself frustrated on behalf of my lovely reflexologist who keeps being let down by clients, who ring or text at the last minute and cancel. I told her she is too nice and far too accommodating - I made the point that the appointments are her business, her livelihood, and that maybe she should start doing what other therapists do - charge a full appointment price, or cancellation fee, if 24 hours notice isn't given. It seems so unfair to mess people around like people seem to with her.

To top it off, Pizza Hut messed Jimbo and I around this evening. I feel an angry email coming on.

I'm also very unhappy about light pollution, particularly after a conversation with someone recently who shared their experience of holidaying in a location where night-time was utterly pitch black. Oh, if only...

Other than that, not much doing. I'm feeling grumpy.

Did you guess?
