Sheer Determination
Found this delicate little crocus pushing it's way up through the gravel in our minuscule back garden yesterday, but I had already chosen to blip the dog (I don't like changing my mind once it's been set). The wait paid off however, as the sun shone even brighter than yesterday... and the flower has grown about an inch since then!
It always amazes me what mother nature will do to reclaim what is rightfully hers. Our lawn is 90% moss due to the general neglect (we only rent here) and the lack of sunlight, which apparently is perfect conditions for all of these spring flowers that keep popping up. Luka is gonna have to start watching where he stomps!
Went for a nice long walk with dog today, the weather has been stunning... Contemplated taking my jumper off half way round because it was so mild. Didn't fancy copying Luka's cooling techniques though... first a sploosh through a lovely boggy puddle, then a refreshing dip in the river to rinse off (my idea, not his)! No uni today so doing very little!
Happy March Everyone! xx
