Red Fort of Agra

I was excited to get away this weekend. Most of the things were not planned, but the going. For such small trips, I feel one should not think too much before heading off. I was comfortable driving down, and reaching the place on a somewhat decent time, so that we could then plan out. The first thing we did on reaching the place, was lunching at a good hotel. And it was a well suited break after having made it to the town. The place seemed to have not grown or changed with time. Even the light there seemed to have reflected the same old feel.
Without wasting much time, we headed to Agra Fort. The place was teeming with tourists from all over, not leaving behind the multi-lingual guides. These pieces of architecture offer a large degree of employment in many ways. The town is mainly about forts, tombs and hotels, which are spruced up from inside only, since outside is a different story.
The fort was airy and did have a nice feel to it. I don't remember being here before, so enjoyed going around and seeing Taj Mahal from almost every window of this fort.
