Hi - my name is Don and I live in a village just outside of Manchester. It really is a village (by UK standards) but we don't have a duck pond or village green - just Manchester Airport a few minutes down the road (but not under the flight path, thankfully). I have always been interested in photography since my early days with a Box Brownie to nowadays with the latest Canon PowerShot SX50 HS bridge camera. It has an amazing 50x optical zoom which is great for taking distance shots in great detail. I first heard about BlipFoto from IngunnInOslo - a very nice lady I met when we were aboard the tall ship Christian Radich in August. It's taken me a while to get going but now I've started I am really enjoying the experience of uploading one photo per day - it really does make you think about what you are doing each day and looking for the type of shot you would like to share with fellow Blippers.
