Married and living in Portland, CT with my wife Laureen and two boys, Roland 10 and Brett 8.

My professional background is engineering but photography has been a big part of my life for many years. I have done it longest as a hobby but have spent periods of my life making money at it, too. Most of that as a wedding photographer.

But now I am back to hobby-only shooting. At least for now. My children take a lot of my time and so the part time wedding photography job (that was almost full-time, on top of my day job) had to stop. Most of my time now is spent on the side of a sports field, coaching my kids. Or just watching.

I still have lots of photography goals. I hope this blog motivates me to shoot more, get creative, push the envelope and continue to shoot better, more interesting photos.
