I decided to start a journal here as I thought it would help me in my quest to stop and appreciate the life I have.
I was involved in a road accident back in 2008 and it change the way I look at life completely.
I went out for a drive on my trike and woke up 4 days later in intensive care and that was when I realised how lucky Iwas.
Up until then I never seemed to be happy with what I had, but when you're lying at the side of the road, not knowing if you are going to see your loved ones again or at best walk again, you realise that you have to make the most of every moment.
Anyway, it turned out that I'm one lucky lady.
I gained a few metal plates in my body and some battle scars, but after a year of hard work by me and love, care and support from family and friends I have my life back.
So this is like a second chance, and through blipping I can stop and capture a moment of every day, and see the beauty of everything around me, for I am grateful for even the most mundane days in life.
This year I will turn 40 and I'm delighted to be here to share this milestone birthday with my husband, my 2 grown up children and my parents... these are the people who my life revolves around.
Life is full of moments that we will miss if we blink too much, so I am going to keep my eyes wide open and soak everything up because life is too short to waste looking for more, when the real key to happiness is to appreciate the moment you are living in....
