The reason for "asleeponearth" is because I have Idiopathic CNS Hypersomnia and it stinks! I have always loved to see new places, meet new people, basically anything until this chronic disease smacked me in the face a few years back. I have always had it...my 3 best girlfriends from age 11 would notice me asleep at weird times or places. Once we were in high school they wouldn't let me sit down to rest if we were walking or for whatever reason. They always said "Don't let her sit down to rest because we will never get her up again"! I guess I did a great job of overcoming it until 2008 but still had no idea why. I went for a sleep study and that's when I was diagnosed with IH, or as the US Gov has changed the name to Major Somnolence Disorder. My life, my families life, my friends lives basically anyone who was in my life had to deal with the change in our relationship and me. I went from a doer to sitting on the sidelines wanting to do but knowing I can't due to complete exhaustion. This is why it stinks!
