I live in the south of Nottingham not far from the river Trent.

I’ve now retired from university teaching but maintain connections with the artists and networks which support them.

Have been really lucky (because of my studies and jobs) to live in New York, London and Cologne.  Brilliant places to call  'home'. 

My wife is German. Our eyes met across a kitchen table when we were both at university. She has taught me many things and given me the opportunity to be part of a cross cultural, multi lingual, family. We have spent many summers and Christmases in Germany.

I take a lot of photos and am trying to “look more slowly”.

I started using Blipfoto to see if I could limit myself to one a day encouraged by my lovely friends Jan and Keith who have been here for over ten years.

That was in 2017 and I completed a full year which was great fun. On a recent trip to Sweden (where Jan and Keith live) I’ve been encouraged to connect back up to Blipfoto as they post every day.
