So, this is me. I live a life a little less ordinary than most. Based on the first set of rocks off the top coast of Scotland I spend 8 months of my year afloat, working aboard our charter dive boat the MV Valkyrie. We travel around Scapa Flow, the huge natural harbour where the remains of the German World War 1 fleet lie and for 3 precious months we venture to Shetland.

Shetland is amazing, just so raw, so utterly on the edge of everything. The wildlife is stunning, the coastline is stunning, the people are stunning. It's just great! Orca, otters, gannets, dolphins.

Outside of our working months I live on a farm in Holm, Orkney. We farm deer, have a livery stable and rent our sheds to a local farmer for his sheep. Oh and we have a fine crop of cats too! And a horrible little dog called Dug who rolls in smelly stuff.

I have a couple of options for photography. I have a canon 50D, a G9 and a Go Pro. The G9 and Go Pro I can take diving with me too.
