My name is Bevan Bruce, born in Christchurch NZ. Soon after taken to live in Greymouth, This was the start of a very transilient life style with my parents as a child. My father worked for NZ rail to start with an when I was approx. 6 years old he changed to work for the NZ. Electricity. 
So as a child I got to see a lot of NZ from a early age, this developed in to a love of fishing and wandering through the hills of NZ. At age 13 years we had a stint living at New Plymouth NZ, this is where I developed a love for the sea that has not left me. Now I live in Nelson NZ with my loving wife and we have just retired from our working lives. We have two girls and both live overseas.
I can remember being given a film camera as a child and in those days all film was Black and white, unfortunately film was expensive to be developed, so I was very limited to how many photos I was aloud to take. Once I started work I purchased an other camera, This time it was still a film camera but you had a verity of film to choose from and you could change lens. This made photography even more interesting but unfortunately still very expensive. Now with digital cameras they can be part of many devices, and Photography is so easy. I wish to thank my neighbor for introducing me to Blipfoto. It has brought purpose to taking photos and a interest in seeing what others do with a camera.
