I love history. I live for it. Learning and teaching history fascinates me because absolutely everyone will at one point in their life be struck by something historical and wonder what its story was, where it came from and why it's still here, or indeed, why it isn't. Whether this is a fleeting moment or the inception of a lifetime of study, or anything in between, everyone will have at least one of these moments in their lifetime. This is partly why history is so precious. It's there for all of us, waiting patiently to be noticed.

So. This will feature many historical posts, hopefully with stories attached. I also like other things, though they tend to feature far less prominently in my life.
