I am a dentist living and working in deepest, darkest Galloway in south west Scotland (website), and always had a strong interest in photography . My father was into photography (even having his own darkroom equipment) and this has rubbed off on me. These days of course his 35mm. film and 1950's Zeiss Ikon are somewhat obsolete. My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic in the early 1970s. Since then I have has (at various times) a Mamya 35mm, Yashica 35mm and a Nikon 35mm. I have just replaced my Sony Super Steady Shot digital bridge camera, which I bought on holiday in a Wallmart supermarket in Florida in 2005. It was advanced for its time, but only boasted 5.1 Mega pixels. I now have a Nikon D7000 with only one lens at present (18-105mm zoom) which came with the camera. But in time I might persuade my wife to let me get some more.
