Born and bred in South Wales, but settled in Hampshire. I became curious about photography when I acquired my first smartphone. I was taught how to use a digital camera by my partner of 25 years - he takes amazing photos, has endless patience with me and has never stopped reminding me that I have a good eye for a picture. Without him...I would have no ideas what button to press....

I stumbled across Blip after losing my mum in 2012 . It became a form of therapy and so many of the early pictures in my journal reflect that time.  My mum loved to paint and I know she would have been delighted to watch me discover my creative side. Many of my photos are of or around Roath Park Lake in Cardiff, where I grew up - and where my Dad still lives. So the connection is still very much there.

Now retired in 2024, after 31 years of teaching, I am looking forward to resuming my Blip Journal after 5 years of neglect.....
