Like my brother The Pos I grew up in Ramsbottom a Lancashire mill town. I passed my grandparents' house on the way to Peel Brow primary school. I loved the hills and moors and did a lot of walking. Later I went to Bury Grammar School and Durham University where I met met my husband, Alan. WE lived in Hereford at first, a lovely place then Ankara and Istanbul followed by Rabat Morrocco where Alan worked for The British Council and I taught English. Then back to UK and teaching in Kent grammar schools for me, then an MA in Librarianship and working in Kent libraries. In 1999-2000 I had a break and accompanied my husband to his secondment in KL, Malaysia, an eye opener. We had 2 children now grown up. I'm retired and my passion is quiltmaking which absorbs my days. here in Canterbury
