Thanks for visiting my Blipfoto journal.

I live in Sheffield and I had the privilege and fortune to work in Probation and the Law Courts, along with my wife Jane.

However, I had two cardiac arrests which resulted in being put into an induced coma, and intensive care due to resuscitation problems. I was told I was lucky to survive, although, I was left with short term memory problems.

There's no place like home, and now I enjoy a retired and slower pace with my wife Jane, and our offspring, Elizabeth and Andrew, who live close by. I'm a carer for my wife who is severely disabled with Multiple Sclerosis.

In the past, I enjoyed long distance running and swimming.

My hobbies currently are gardening, home maintenance, keeping our pugs and walking.

In March 2018, after following somebody's link onto Blipfoto, I was amazed at so many wonderful pictures.
I soon realised that Blipfoto might encourage me to make more use of my camera, which was not really being used.

So, even though I'm a novice at photography, and I don't really travel far from home, I've started Blipping and bought a new camera - Canon Powershot SX60 HS.
