First, a quick 'Thank you' if you are reading this. I rarely acknowledge every visitor's every comment individually, as I know how time-consuming it is to return to a blip and search through hundreds of comments to read 'thank you'! But I do appreciate all your kind words. And I do try and respond to questions and wit, and/or pay reciprocal visits to your journals - and to journals of people who've never visited mine. That's simply a joy and delight - such imaginative and talented people you blippers are!
Meanwhile, if you're still reading, here's the bio that I wrote when I first joined:
I live by the sea in South Devon. Full-time writer and point-and-click photographer. Am aiming to post a new blip every day for 365 days, if possible. We shall see.* Am also hoping that my pics will inspire poems, and my poems may inspire more pics. Some pictures, though, are poems in themselves ...
You can read more of my poems on my blog-cum-website.
*PS I more than made it - and without any gaps!
Following the popularity of my chessmen stories in verse and pictures, I have published a 40-page full-colour hardback book of the best ones + some new material. It's a dinky little book - 7" x 7" and can be bought directly from the printers for about the price of an arty-calendar. Only this lasts forever.
Click here for a preview and the chance to order.
Even if you love the chessmen series, please do not feel pressured into buying a copy. It's my self-indulgence and I'm delighted with the result. And guess what I gave family members for Christmas 2012!
If you are wondering whether to buy a copy, don't even think about it without FIRST googling 'blurb uk discount voucher' to cut'n'paste the code at the checkout!
Since June 2013 I now have a Facebook page with news of poetry events, publications, competitions, etc. It's at this address.
