April 2015 - time for another update. Blip has a lot to answer for - my wife Technophobe has now joined me on Blip and amazingly she has almost posted 500 blips. It means things have become a bit competitive in our household.
Blip has made me really think about my photography and I have learnt an enormous amount. This year I submitted a successful LRPS panel. I have also created a website www.peterharris.photos
This year I will hopefully get to my 1000th Blip
Sept 2013 - almost 300 blips in and I feel it's time for a bit of rebranding. I have renamed my journal Loosecanon but left the account name the same. A new profile picture completes the process. Will anyone be fooled?
I retired in 2011 after 38 years working in the NHS.
I have rediscovered my interest in photography and by enrolling in a couple of courses I have discovered some of the things I have been doing wrong all these years. I realised that many previous good results were more by luck than skill. I will now be working on the things that I know make a good image.
Through the discipline of having to upload a daily photo to Blipfoto I hope to learn even more and be taken out of my comfort zone.
Please feel free to make criticisms as well as compliments!
If anyone needs to contact me I have created this email address:
loosecanon@gp-it.co.uk
Sept 2017 - having moved to using my Olympus OMD E-M1 Mk2 as my main camera I have changed my journal name to Lapsed Canon
Update January 2024
Many of you will know that my blipping has been very intermittent for a few years. The result of this is that Jane (technophobe) has massively overtaken me in the Blip statistics.
I have resolved to restart daily blips again
New framing website
