UPDATE...my original profile was written over 8 years ago, and I last updated it 2 yrs ago....life has got in the way and I have got out of the habit of blipping however I am determined to get back to it, and having spent a lovely couple of evening back blipping from all the pictures on my phone I now need to see if I can fill a few more gaps with pics from my camera, although mostly I use my phone for photography these days.

Kids are now 20, 11 and 9 and of course will still appear in my pictures frequently

Hello all and welcome to my quiet space. This is my little bit of sanity in a mad world. I love taking photographs and although I may not be that good I am learning and open to any pointers or tips that would help me.

I dont get as much time as I would like to take photos and I think my family are well and truely fed up with my camera ... they all groan when it comes out with us ;0)

I am a mum to three terrors aged 12, 4 and nearly 2 and they are my favorite subjects for pictures, along with bugs and flowers. At the moment none of them will let me take pictures of them ... the eldest will just steal the camera, but then his pics are rather good (see below/above/wherever it is!). My daughter just runs away or make silly faces and even the little one tried to grab the camera.....

One or two photos of the kids may well find a way into my journal, but I want to try and expand my subject matter as much as possible.

Update....... wow this was written some time ago.... my kids are now 18, 9 and 7...the oldest has continued his interest in photography...having passed his GCSE 2 years ago and is now studying media and photography!!
