Hi, I'm Julie. Mum of 3, Gran of 3. I'm new to this photography malarkey, but hope to improve as I go along. I work part-time in a fish and chip shop, and have plenty of hobbies and interests.

UPDATE JULY 2023
Well I have been Blipping for a little over ten years now. I guess I am here to stay, so it is time I updated my info. The first two sentences still apply, though the kids and grandkids are all older now. And one was a boy and is now a girl - I'm proud of all three of my children.
They have all flown the nest now and it is just my partner (Blipper Lincoln Warrior, aka Brian.) and I, along with our beautiful little house panther Minstrel at home. We see them all regularly though.
After ten years I can hardly claim to be a newbie to photography any more, and though I think my photos have generally improved over time I still would say I don't really know what I'm doing. I've tried but all the technical stuff confuses me no end! I have a Sony Cyber-Shot camera, but since getting a Google Pixel phone I just as often use that.
And I'm not working in a fish and chip shop any more! Or anywhere currently, though I am job-hunting and would rather not go back to chippy work. I'm 60 now and no longer want to be working until 1 AM!
I still have plenty of interests: These include cats, watching sport especially Rugby League and football, reading, writing, walking, nature/wildlife, eating, and - of course - taking photos!
