First Camera: Zenit 12XP found in a bin. The first roll of film was left on a window-sil for 6 months before development, this created some pretty interesting results that would be near impossible to recreate digitally, thus creating a fascination with film.
Now Owns: Zenit XP12, Lomography Sprocket Rocket, SuperSampler, Diana F+, Diana Mini, Canonet 28, Lomo LC-A, Holga 135, Lomo Konstructor, Lomo Spinner and an Aqua Pix Underwater Camera.
Photography Style: Lots of experimentation, this means processing slide films in colour negative chemicals, using the back-side of a roll of film to get an all over orange hue (redscale), putting a roll of film through two different cameras before development, lots of multiple exposures, cooking a roll of film in lemon juice, coffee or even laundry detergent before shooting with it, cameras with multiple lenses, cameras that shoot on to the entire film (including the sprocket holes), colour filters, colour flashes and a camera built from scratch.
Film Style: A large focus on Stop-Motion (primarily down to having no video function on the camera) leading to the films found in the 'Films' section of the website. The video 'Sunglasses' went on to win at the De La Warr Pavilion film festival in the 'Experimental' category. However, films shot on video will soon be appearing thanks to a new camera.
For More Updates: Follow the 'Blog' section of the website with the results from the latest experiments, the albums that are being played whilst scanning them in and the films being watched in between.
