I started this portfolio of portraits as a secondary journal to Earthdreamery, never expecting it to be a daily thing and never anticipating it becoming more important than my original journal. I turned comments off some time ago. There is beauty in every face I post and it didn't seem right to invite feedback when that tended to be biased in predictable ways. There was also very occasional judgement and I didn't want to have to police that. 

For me, each post is a snapshot, simply a record of a unique and memorable encounter. Collectively, though, the thousands of posts I've now made amount to a record of something beyond that, something that I struggle to put into words. I suppose you could say that it's a snapshot of humanity.
