I'm a retired anaesthetist. 
I became Interested  in photography in 1978 when I bought my first SLR (a Praktica). Using mainly B&W film, I dabbled with developing and printing using modified windowless cupboards, toilets and loft rooms as darkrooms. Twenty years ago I bought my first  digital SLR and since retirement have more time to devote to photography. I recently enrolled in some basic part-time college photography and digital editing courses and am loving being a student again.
Other interests include cycling and keeping fit, music, travel, wine tasting and cooking.
