It has been more than a few years since I finished my teaching degree at University. On reflection it's amazing to see how teaching has changed, developed and adapted with a new curriculum, new technology and new theories on learning.

It will be interesting to now return to University, not to learn about the new ways, but the old. Over the next 8 months I will be studying and investigating Froebel, one of the most influential educationalists of the nineteenth century.

I will be observing Froebel's theories in practice at several local nurseries, as well as researching his methods and ideas to develop my own understanding of a man, to be honest, I know little about.
