I have been passionate about photography for years and really cannot imagine my life without it. My main passion has been for Portraiture, though I'm keen to improve in other areas like Street and Travel Photography and I admire everything from Landscapes to Macro, Gardens and Wildlife.

Photography is what makes me happy, sad, frustrated & overjoyed. It can make me my most agitated and at other times have me punch the air exclaiming "cooking on gas Perry, cooking on gas!". When you know you got the shot you were imagining there is no better feeling in the world.

I have joined Blip because I want to push myself to try new techniques, new genres and to look for the light on a daily basis. I firmly believe you never stop learning. I use a Canon 5D Mark II shooting RAW and Photoshopping but more recently the Fuji X-T1 system which I want to work at getting the best JPEGS straight out of camera from.

I work in the capital and live in the country which means a 4 hour daily commute and a confused sense of belonging. In reality I think I need both the stimulation of the city and the tranquility of the country. My Blips will I'm sure show this dichotomy in my life.
