After living in several different parts of the world (and divorce), I chose to change my life and move to Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland in 2002, followed by a move even further north to Thurso several years later. I have a partner, two grown-up daughters, a dog, Rex - a Jack Russell/Collie cross and 3 tropical fish. 
I am a translator by trade but there is not much call for German in Caithness :(

I am very impressed with the quality and variety of photos compiled here.  I am no expert photographer but love taking photos.  There is much to photograph here under the 'big skies' of Caithness and the wild beauty of Assynt in Sutherland (my soon-to-be 'forever home'). I am always on the look-out for the unusual or quirky.  I hope my journal is of interest to you other blippers coz I'm enjoying putting it together :)) Feel free to subscribe.
