I hate skateboarding.

When I stop for a week, I get worse. When I skate everyday, I get better, but not good enough. I raise the bar every time I pull a new trick and freak out if I can't do it the next day. I get frustrated. I hate being labeled "extreme" by my own family and the community in general. I walk with a limp 33 days out of the year. I pick at scabs approximately twenty minutes every day. I don't talk to a lot of people because they don't skateboard, and wouldn't understand me. I'm very picky about what is good and what sucks. . I make fun of those that aren't like me. I make fun of those that are like me.

I love skating in a big posse. I love skating by myself. I love the mission. I hate pushing, but love it if it has been a while. I don't understand physics, but I live and love the concept better than a physics teacher. I know about natural style, and can spot it in everyday life. I can't help but do tricks with my fingers on desks, chairs, bananas and whatever else my hand comes across. I question possibilities, and build impossibilities. I KNOW THE LAYOUT OF ENTIRE TOWNS BY THE NAVIGATION OF SKATESPOTS?I think a planter between parking lots is famous if it was in a video.

Above all, skateboarding has opened my mind far beyond the average person, and keeps my creativity flowing.
