Until retirement, I was a professional writer of books and articles about science and medicine, as well as a graphic artist. Now I do pro bono marketing writing/photography/graphics for animal welfare organizations. Though I'm 81, I still camp with my dog in a van and travel to interesting places like Alaska, Antarctica, South America, and Europe. I live in Gainesville, Florida with my dog Trudy and cat Hodge. Living in my backyard are many squirrels, small snakes, lizards, frogs, and one armadillo. All kinds of birds visit my feeders year-around.
