Someone who arrived and ended up staying.

Here I document my life as an Englishman living in the North West of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans.

I arrived in Banja Luka in mid September 1998 as part of the NATO Stabilisation Force (SFOR) with the plan to stay 6 months.

It's lasted a lot longer, and although between 2005 and 2011, I worked outside the country, I have now returned to settle down for good.

I first started using Blip years and years ago, and somehow I just ceased to use it. Sad.

Recently however, I realised I needed a way to document/journal my life, as I now become a professional pensioner.

Blip provides that. Perfectly.

My posts and images will hopefully convey my exciting and adventurous life.

Oh! By the way! If you travel back through the images, you'll catch some of my time in Afghanistan.
