Got a Nikon D3200 last September as an engagement present from the soon to be wife (didn't even realize guys got presents, but I aint complaining lol). I have purchased a few add ons since then, sigma lens, tripod, filters etc. Just waiting to experiment with them and see what happens, a lot of it is guess work as I have little to no knowledge of photography (I just like pictures that impress me, regardless of subject). I am hoping to be able to take a half decent landscape pic and some macro shots (as these would be my preferred images).

I have tried skimming a few books but I suspect practical experience will be the best teacher as I don't yet grasp the aperture settings etc. I have been mainly taking pictures with the camera set to sports mode in an attempt to capture the best shot in terms of timing.
