Life has not been kind to me of late, and I have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Now beginning treatment, I’ve decided to try to diary regularly, as my friend Blethers does, maybe just for my own benefit. Heaven forbid that it should become just a cancer diary. I don’t want to be defined by that. There are numerous places and people I would like to introduce you to. Perhaps some of it will be to introduce some to the delights of supporting Partick Thistle FC!

Welcome to my world! Retirement has all been rather quiet until now, after spending over forty years as Rector of various parishes in west central Scotland. I’m looking forward to blipping through the coming months and putting some thought into what I’d like to share with you.

Wish me luck as I’m not the best photographer!
