In Russia's Komi Republic, on the windswept Man-Pupu-Ner Plateau stands a mysterious grouping of massive stone pillars. What's the story behind these 130ft/40m towers? Were they really giants turned to stone, as the locals suggest? Or merely a bizarre geological happenstance? So many unanswered questions...
