Henley Lake, Masterton, NZ

Henley Lake in the early evening - I love the shimmer of the light.

Henley Lake Park was opened 14 February 1988. It coveres 11 hectares and includes 4 small islands. The annual Hot Air Balloon Festival is held here. Before this area became a lake Hubby and his mates used to race up and down the hills on their motorbikes.

Its gone from a noisey dust bowl to something more peaceful and beautiful.

Tomorrow is our last day, we will catch up with Daughter A - have coffee and then fly home. Its been a busy time with so much to do but also rather nice to have special time with hubby's parents. We have been so lucky with the weather to :)
