Ga ga GHOSTS!!!

Our Saturday was spent in Austin. I finally got my glasses taken care of... well sort of; I guess I'll just try to get used to the current lenses. The prescription is fine but the curve of the lenses isn't as drastic as my last pair so it will take some getting used to. We ate at Chuy's which was mmm mmm good and I ate really cheap which I am usually proud of because when I'm low on cash and spend lots on food I feel like a real sucker. Jessica, Ricky, Joe, and I later went back to Jessica's apt to watch Persepolis which was such a good movie. I definitely recommend it to those of you who haven't seen it. Joe and I decided to go down to a park on riverside dr. to take some pictures of lights some other interesting encounters. We started playing around with very slow shutter speeds and created ghosties. We decided to wrap it up when we were startled by this cough in the darkness. We couldn't figure out where it was coming from. To top the night off, we saw the Slackers, which are a reggae/ rocksteady/ ska band from NYC. I've probably seen them four times before but it was still loads of fun and it was really good to see them with Joe, who had never seen them before. My tolerance for beer is far too high; I had at least 5 beers and only had a little buzz. Danny and Sarah came up from Corpus for the show and got tanked..... we gave them a ride to their hotel which was especially fun becasue Danny had apparently broken his girlfriend Sarah at the show and we decided that Ricky was a liability. Joe and I slept on the floor at Jessica's while her and Ricky enjoyed the luxuries of a cozy bed. The floor was fine though, especially since I'd been drinking. Back to the show....I was so glad they played "Yes it's true" because I don't think I've ever heard them play that live. And also, they were recording a dvd at that show so we may be on it shakin' our booties.
