Foghorn
It's been a beautiful sunny day here in south west Scotland so the painting and decorating was abandoned in favour of a "day out".
We headed south to the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse which is Scotland's most southerly point (it's on the same latitude as Darlington!!). We had lunch at the Gallie Craig cafe and then went for a walk around the lighthouse and surrounding area which is owned by the RSPB.
There was a msit out to sea and we could just make out the Isle of Man but not Northern Ireland and the English Lakes which are often visible from here.
I took almost a hundred pictures ... some lovely lighthouse shots ... but decided that the foghorn, not normally the "star" attraction of any lighthouse visit, deserved it's 15 minutes of fame!!
