Bird in a bush
There have been some stunning shots of birds blipped today so it is with some hesitation that I post this rather poor shot of a dunnock in a forsythia bush.
We were toiling away up at the allotment and it was so nice to see the sunshine, the forsythia buds almost out and even more garlic poking up through the earth. At one point I had the feeling that I was being watched and eventually noticed the little grey and brown visitor sidling up to the feeder. They're pretty little birds, demure in their demeanour. Unfortunately, I learned about their unsavoury sexual habits from a programme by the great David Attenborough; something I would definitely classify as too much information. (It's described in their Wikipedia entry if you really must).
Bird blips I have enjoyed today include:
Paivi's comedy crow
Berelaxed's wet wren
Timon's blue tit
JRS's red kite
VPT's lady bullfinch
and Iggyquiggy's bird in the hand.
