Sparrow
Sorry yesterday's blip was so hurried. We took our visitors out for the day , a typical Mary and John meander through Mid Argyll . The weather was kind so we drove up Loch Fyne to Loch Gilp, then out to Kilmartin where there are so many standing stones and cairns from the bronze age and before. Into the Kilmartin Church which has a wonderful collection of mediavel grave slabs. From there it was a short drive across the Moss to the Crinan Canal and round Bellanoch Basin up to the hill at Barnaslugan which has an amazing view over River Add which opens out to CrinanFerry and the Atlantic with a glimpse of the islands beyond
From there we had real meander along the narrow single track road to Tayvallich , for me the most photogenic village in all of Argyll and on to Keills where a fairly short climb up the hill beyond Keills Church gives an amazing view out to Islay and yesterday was no exception. On the way downhill we had some rain but this gave us one of Argyll's legendary double full rainbows.
We got so many shots yesterday , but having already uploaded I can't show , so I could tellyou these are the best I've ever taken ( lol, as my grandsons would say )
Today was a relaxed day as our friends had to head back south at mid day.
So tonight I have a shot of a tiny sparrow in the garden. You see these little birds all the time but itis only when yo see them through the macro lens that you see those amazing eyes.
