Tourist shot 1

We had a morning exploring Oxford street, Regent Street, Carnaby Street, Beak Street and finally Denmark Street. The theme was obviously shopping and we did ok at that.

At around lunchtime we met up with a friend Dave who has been staying in london for a while and he took us on a tour of some other interesting bits. We did loads of walking but compared to Edinburgh London is an easy town to walk around as it's fairly flat.

While we were on our travels, at about 1 o clock we came across a wee ticket shop which specialises in tickets for places that are sold out. They had just got some tickets in for Morrissey that night. We had been trying to get some for ages so we were thrilled. We ended up paying a wee bit over the face value, but these sort of things are generally only worth what you're willing to pay for them. Anyway, Dave took us up to Camden for early evening and we had a few drinks in the Elephants Head, before heading up to the Roundhouse for the gig....


Only to find it had been postponed due to illness. The guy on the door assured us it would be re-scheduled. When we pointed out we'd travelled down from Edinburgh and were only there for the weekend he told us that if we called the box office on Monday we could get a refund to the card which had been used to buy the tickets. Not a lot of use really. Oh well, we headed back to Camden for some more drinks but it was a bit of a letdown. We just have to hope th eshows are rescheduled for a date we can attend and they'll just honour the original tickets.
