A Sea of Red

With the cold winter conditions came very different activities than occupy us on the Coast. We were given tickets to the Calgary Flames/ San Jose Sharks hockey game on Friday night. Great seats 9 rows back from the blue line. Live hockey is like live theatre for me. Love the immediacy, the energy from the crowd, the very real time tension as the game unfolds.

The Saddledome was a sea of red as all the fans don red sweaters and jerseys and flood into the stadium filling every seat!! San Jose won in an overtime shoot out so the mood was much more sombre as the crowd departed. ;-(

This was the best my IPhone could capture but it marks the occasion. It has been a long time since we sat in this stadium watching the Flames.
