Sold Out
This is a common and for me, pretty heartbreaking sight throughout Korea.
In a perfect world, women of this age would be collecting a handsome pension, and spending their days taking strolls or gossiping with friends.
The world is a far from perfect place however, and so these women try to make ends meet by selling a few vegetables by the side of the road.
And there they sit, day in day out, rain or shine, in icy cold or sweltering heat.
I always think it's a shame that a generation who lived through Japanese occupation, as well the horror and brutality of the Korean war, should have to spend their days in such a way.
