Bowled Out
This was - until very recently, ie as long as it took the grass to grow to this length this year - the home of Stirling County Cricket club. I don't know how long it had been located at Williamfield but it was certainly a very long time. I recall being brought here as a young child to watch my (very much older) brother in law play for Clackmannanshire County. The perimeter was also a favourite short walk for our dogs.
But no more. They sold out to move to a new ground near the football stadium at Forthbank. The old ground will become the new home of Stirling High School under a PFI project. This green space is therefore now 'bowled out' and gone. I'll post a few more photos of the conversion from cricket ground to school.
The red (wriggly tin) roofed building is the pavillion.
