Tour de Glace

A foggy day today and at least 15cm of fresh snow - but lots of wind too.

This amazing structure coming out of the mist is the ice tower in Champagny le Haut.

So this evening, a few of us went to have a go at ice climbing and to accompany bri and Mad Dog on their climbing practice.

I got to the top of the easiest climb on the third go. I'm pretty scared of heights so that wasn't bad...

Mad Dog climbed up the inside of the dry tooling section you can see on the rightmost leg of the tower. And he asks us why we call him Mad Dog :-)
