Down the plot

A lovely afternoon spent down on the allotment giving Penunia a hand with her new raised beds.

We also popped in to Lidl to buy some of their bargain basement fruit trees which will form the boundary of the plot.

No matter how often I visit an allotment I still find it a totally life enhancing experience. I love how people potter around, chat to each other and make the allotment a public statement of their individualism.

The vegetable growing can be a bit of a side issue, at least at this time of the year. There's guys down there, who have a cooker in the shed and have little meeting over a glass of beer and a cup of tea.

Not a bad way to spend your Sunday afternoon even in the depth of winter.
