How did I not know about this place?!

Another lovely day, it started off wet, very wet but it decided to brighten up as the day went on!

Worked til 3 & when I got home the weather had cheered up enough to take a wander up the road where a nice little farmland hosts lots of nature! Decided to drag my eldest out as he'd been glued to his xbox for a wee while! Wellies on & away we go however, he's a little too cool for wellies so on with the trainers for him!!! When he realised where we were heading he asked if we could go to the lake, he's mentioned the lake a few times before saying how great it is & can he take me, well his great & my great are worlds apart! I relented this time & off we went & boy am I glad we did! It's a 10 minute walk from my house & it was beautiful! I can't believe I've lived here for 3 years and I had no idea this place exisited shame faced!!

I happily snapped away as my son stood by feeling rather smug, little did he know I was feeling rather smug too as I had wellies on & he was thick with mud. Well I guess we both learnt a lesson ... sometimes Mum knows best & I guess sometimes Son knows best too! (Although I'd never admit that to him!)
