Earthquake?
This morning our water pressure was all over the place. After a sunny walk to Brixton and back through Brockwell Park, we encountered mud, sandbags, stones and puddles all over the centre of West Norwood. The pavement down the hill from the railway station is certainly not safe to walk on! The road is closed and there's a giant hole in the middle, with a group of Thames Water workers working frantically to mend/replace the burst water main. F and I guessed that the water, not being able to escape through the road, must have come up through the pavement. Nasty! It looks like it must have been a real torrent.
Tonight, comedy at the local theatre. No doubt, F and I will be awoken again at 3am to the sounds of Whisky chasing the mouse he brought in yesterday. I almost caught the poor mouse today, but he's a cunning wee thing (with many, many lives and a strong heart, or Whisky is just a very bad hunter).
