A good way to start your Friday night - AQMeN Annual lecture in the Wolfson Lecture Theatre in the Royal Society of Edinburgh. :-)

Prof David Hand gave this lecture on Statistics: The Science of the Individual that presented thoughts on inference from a population to the individual [rather than the other way round, as with much statistical analyses]. Lots of interesting examples and food for further reflection.

Followed by a very nice reception with other food for ... consumption!
